SETP No.2 CONFIRM THE FILM WIDTH AND PRODUCT HEIGHT

The film width is the most important factor for us to confirm which exact packing machine model is suitable for your product. Because the film width determines the bag size to wrap the product.

For HFFS, film width = (product width+product height)/2+30mm.

The product height is also a very important factor to choose a right packing machine, as it determines the machine to allow the product to go through the end sealing jaws.

The product length is not a key factor to choose our HFFS machine Because our horizontal flow packing machine is None-Limited for product length, but if you could provide to us would be great.

Take the chocolate block as an example: The product width is 20mm, product height is 15mm, then calculate the film width is (20+15)*2+30=100mm.

For VFFS, You need to check your bag width to calculate the film width, There is a difference between a pillow bag and a 3-side seal/4-side seal. So the film width = bag width*2 + 30mm.

Pillow bag: The film width = bag width*2+30mm.

3/4-사이드 씰: The film width = bag width*2.

Maybe you are wondering why the above film width calculation formula doesn’t consider the bag height(bag depth or bag thickness). The end-sealing jaws seal the bag edge as half of the film width.
